The establishment of a strong advanced equipment manufacturing industry without reducing the physical, chemical and functions of raw materials is not only the support and guarantee for the implementation of the grand blueprint of "made in China 2025", but also the fundamental guarantee for improving China's comprehensive national strength and promoting the construction of a manufacturing power. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, guided by innovation driven development, China has implemented the manufacturing power strategy and made efforts to promote the high-end equipment manufacturing industry to go abroad and to the world. After continuous catch-up and development, major progress has been made in equipment manufacturing in key areas of China's economy, and a number of equipment products with core technologies have been formed, and the technical level of some products has approached or reached the international advanced level. Manned spaceflight, lunar exploration project, manned deep submergence, new regional airplanes, high-speed rail companies' profits are expected to achieve breakthroughs in growth path transportation and other fields in 2017. Million ton ethylene complete equipment, ultra-high voltage power transmission and transformation equipment, billions of times supercomputers, etc. have leapt to the forefront of the world

China has successfully independently developed various new materials and equipment for power transmission and transformation represented by a full set of UHV AC and DC power transmission and transformation equipment, comprehensively mastered the complete set of UHV power transmission technology, realized the transformation from made in China to created in China in this field, and occupied the commanding height of International high-voltage power transmission technology.
